NEWS!!!

Grin. Since they haven't told me otherwise, I'm going to assume that I can shout this from the rooftops .... I have a new nephew! My brother/sister-in-law have been living in Quito for the past 7-8 years (I can't remember dates anymore) and have been trying to adopt a child for the last 18 months or so, it's a LONG process there and rather involved. They've been waiting for the last 6 months to have a child assigned to them, knowing only that it would be a child at least 14 months old as the gov't gives the mother a year to change her mind before actually placing the child, and they spend that time in an orphanage. Well, they were just told on Thursday that they're getting Paul, who's about 23 months or so, as their son. Big Grin. Proud parents and Paul below, though they haven't been able to bring him home yet, they were able to meet him today. Douglas will have to learn the difference between Paul and Paulo (who he saw today, that's another story entirely :).

Cool.
