A few events and classes have run across my desk this week for my NYC-based moms, read on if you’ll be around … two start today!
Park-Slope-based Momasphere has an event tonight at 8pm, and it looks like another fab evening out for moms, with lots of great food and prizes! I had a ball at the last one, and won myself a dinner-for-two which made it even better ;). Amy Sohn will be reading from her new book Prospect Park West, at the glass Richard Meier on Prospect Park building that I run past several mornings a week. I’d love to see inside it, but alas am not free tonight.

Acting in French with Manisha Snoyer looks like so much fun, and if you’ve any thought of learning French in a fun atmosphere, and have any interest in Theatre, this is for you! Fees are reasonable too :).

FRENCH THURSDAYS is a beginning French language class designed for performing arts professionals and theatre lovers. It starts today! FRENCH MONDAYS 2 is equally appropriate for the actor hoping to work in France or the theatre and film enthusiast seeking to speak French with greater ease and confidence. It starts next week.
Lara Kohn Thompson of Essential Yoga Brooklyn has announced her fall class lineup, and it looks like a great one! Some classes take place at both Bend and Bloom Yoga in Park Slope, and others at Lucky Lotus Yoga in Ft Greene. There are ongoing classes in prental, hatha, Baby and Me, and Women’s Practice, as well as special workshops for the Pelvic Floor, Re-Inhabiting Ourselves (mini retreat for moms!), Physical Care and Training for Women (Post-partum and beyond), and an active birth workshop for couples called Labor, Delivery, and the Early Postpartum.
