Question of the Week : What's Your Love Language?

Question of the Week for 3/16 | Deadline is Saturday the 21st at midnight | Prize is a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies, mailed to the destination of your choice :).
———————————————————————————————————————————————————
What’s your primary love language? If you haven’t heard of the concept before, the idea is that we all have a preferred language of love, or way we like to receive it. It’s based on a book by Gary Chapman, and there is more info and a 30-second quiz here http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/30sec.html#love to get you going.

I’ll excerpt it here …
Words of Affirmation : You feel loved when another person tells you they value you as a person, and appreciate your special way with the most ordinary tasks.
Quality Time : You feel closest to another person when you receive focused attention
Receiving Gifts : Tangible expressions of love assure you that the other person is not only thinking of you, but cares enough to show it.
Acts of Service : You feel the most loved when someone helps you carry out your responsibilities.
Physical Touch : You feel most loved when you literally make contact with another person. You enjoy being embraced and feeling another’s touch.

SO, which one is your top way to feel loved? AND, if you’re with someone, does your language match theirs?

My personal choice would be Quality Time, followed up with a good dose of Words of Affirmation. Nothing better than my husband voluntarily arranging to spend quality time with me! Voluntary would be a key word there :). His choice though would definitely be Physical Touch. I know I could do a lot better at the spontaneous touch bit, though it’s far from natural for me. Something I have to work on :). I just think it’s pretty interesting to compare, and to check what your own preference is. Good to make it known too, if it’s not being met or understood!
