I treated myself to 4 new books this week, a banner week indeed! First off I got an Amazon gift certificate for commenting on Erin’s blog (thanks Erin!) and ordered a book I’ve heard so many good things about I figured it was time. The Artist’s Way is on it’s way to me, and I’m really looking forward to it. Anything that gets me feeling creative again, or perhaps just inpired again, will be a good thing!
I had a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble knocking around in my bag from December, and finally put it to use tonight at their buy 2, get one free table. I picked up three great-looking reads, though I’ve only read one of the authors before. One is Isabelle Allende’s The Sum of Our Days: A Memoir, and I can’t wait to dig in. I’ve loved everything of hers I’ve ever gotten my hands on.
Next is Wicked
Lastly is Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard which I chose because it’s the tale of a year spent in Virgina’s Blue Ridge valley, an area we’re thinking of moving to but know very little about. It seemed a good way to learn more than I know!
